Elaine Hanowell has been making her unique lighted sculptures for over 20 years. The lamps are available in four varieties: Bass, Koi, Perch, and Catfish. Each sculpture is made from paper and collage elements gathered from around the world. The lamp bases, available in floor or table lengths, are handmade from bamboo, slate, and waxed linen thread. Sizes vary with floor lamps generally 58” x 25” x 7.5” and table size, 19” in height. These pieces are an example of the artist’s work. There are a variety of sculptures available, through the artist and in the Seattle area at Artxchange Gallery. Commissioned pieces are welcome and can be created for no extra charge.
    The contemporary box lanterns are made with hand-cut pine and varied surfaces incorporating rolled and printed paint on abraded acrylic panels. These works are created to sizes and palettes defined by each commission for home and business spaces.
